Yeah, thats the general idea. Of course, if the Italian doesn't make us
feel more comfortable in the next year, we could decide to stick it out with
Turkey and pummel him to the ground for having the temerity to even think of
landing in Greece :)

Let me be clear about this. The support order is completely, totally and
absolutely meaningless. If anything, I consider it to be a negative order,
since he effectively ordered Venice to hold. He told us he was going to go
to Piedmont, instead he decided to hang around our borders.
I want him against F or T, and I want it soon. We are still a viable target
for him.

No, not really :). It is not totally unreasonable though, if things turn
really negative with Italy, we would need that second fleet to enter Aeg and
launch the attack on Venice. Overall though, you are correct, I don't want
a fleet in Trieste, but Italy doesn't know that...

Ok, I should have said "make sure he builds a fleet, not an army". Yeah, I
couldn't give a crap where his fleet is, as long as its not an army in Rome.

No need to leak that type of info, its a blatant signal "I am trying to
start an IT war"... he is your ally now and we are thinking of a swift
dagger, so no need to make him edgy. Talk about convincing Italy to move
West and how the 2 of you will do it. Once Italy builds the fleet, sound
worried of course, but Turkey will draw his own conclusions.

And, for that matter, I always order Lvp-Edi, gives many more options.
England could have had an army in Norway now instead of that bounced convoy.
Of course, the bounce means that France can't invade England effectively,
which is good for us.

We haven't won anything yet... Russia will be building 2 armies, and Italy
still hasn't chosen a target. Keep that press rolling. With regards to
Russia, I think you have 2 options
#1) Silence. Sometimes people will suicide against the talktative person,
so nothing wrong with silence
#2) Short polite note: "Turkey offered the better deal and my advisor told
me to take it. Should circumstances change I would be more than willing to
consider working with you in the future. Best of luck in the next few
turns!"
Depending on how I feel, I usually do one or the other.
