Yeah, offhand I didn't like that, gave Russia info about Greece which he
really didn't need to know. Furthermore, he has no reason to create peace
between Austria and Italy, it helps him if we are fighting. If I was
Russia, I would now press Italy saying that Austria would not be supporting
himself into Greece. That way perhaps both of AI could get screwed out of a
build and Russia would be that much better for that.

Russia's concern is with Turkey, there is no need to include him in
discussions about Italy. Germany was different because he was not a
possible immediate enemy, so the information was less likely to come back
and bite us in the ass. For Russia though, the information about the Greek
struggles will help him a lot. He now knows that Italy wants Greece, and he
can flavour his press accordingly.

If you want to include another country, do it in press to both countries at
once. You will get nothing out of Russia, he has no reason to help you.

Well.. again, your choice :). He may have been unsure of what he wants as
well. You did ask for specific proposals though, so if he ducks these and
you are not comfortable with that, then perhaps you will have to side with
Russia. Slightly unfortunate, I'm worried about an IR squeeze after we take
out Turkey, but for now short term considerations are more important than
long term.

Yeah, the support is not a passive move at all, its a blatant siding with
Russia, and Turkey will be pissed. By the same token, not supporting Russia
would also probably piss Russia off, so either way you will have an enemy
after this season. Normally that would be great, but I still can't get a
read on the Italian, and that sucks!

I said be subtle, talk about the attack on France; you went for the blatant.
Offhand, I think your approach might be better :).

Nah, he won't tell you. The EFG situation is really none of Austria's
business. That is not to say that it is something Austria can ignore, the
more you are aware of alliance structures the better, but if I was Germany I
wouldn't be blabbing about who I was siding with... info has a sneaky way of
getting around to the person you least want to hear about it ;)

I wonder what ITR will say... curiosity abounds.
