Message from [nitsuj1987_at_yahoo.ca,darkwolf_at_argontech.net as] Italy to Italy in
'teachme3':
Hello! Glad to see everything is working now!
I see you've already put in some orders. Good for you! I'm not even that
good! :)
So, lets get to know each other a bit. As you probably could tell my name
is Tim Yocum. I'm a software programmer/developer for TRX, the leading
software designer for travel ticket processing and booking. Yeah that's
right, if you booked a ticket on a plane, or got a hotel reservation, and it
screwed up, we probably did it! I live in Dallas, TX, USA. I am married
with 4 kids: Cameron, 4, Reuben, 3, Maura, 2, and Gabriel, 4 months. I am
29, having just had my birthday this last Sunday.
I've been playing Diplomacy for right around 10 years now. I am an addict.
I've been doing judge diplomacy for probably 8 of that. Haven't played a
face-to-face (FtF) game in 8 years. I miss it.
Italy is one of my better powers. I have been complimented by several good
players on how I play, so hopefully I can help you out some in this game. I
must say, for anyone just starting the game, Italy is NOT the most fun power
to play. But it will probably teach you the most critical skills needed to
be good at the game (if we last long enough! :) ).
So how did you come into the Dip hobby? How many games have you played?
What other powers have you tinkered with? Just gives me an idea of how much
to throw at you right off the bat. I know he said its a newbies game, but
some newbies have experience, and some, its their first game.
Well, I just thought I'd be the first to say hiya, and welcome to the hobby.
I hope we rock the world. If not, we can at least have a blast getting
creamed!
