I know, I was just posing more of a thought exercise. The question is is it possible for Germany to reach 18 without attacking England. The answer is probably yes, but not without really pushing East hard. If you do end up going with the Centrifuge, this might be something we want to look at more closely though. If you end up opening West, the important thing to remember is that you're going to have to attack England eventually in order to reach 18. Like I said, I've never been real big on the whole 18 center planning either, but the idea is that it makes you think more long term about where you're going to need to be in the endgame.
> Home centers + Lowlands + England + France + Iberia + Scandinavia + STP + WAR + MOS.
Spain and Marseilles are the toughest, as they can generally be held from the Med side, and its hard for Germany to get into the Med. Without those two, you're at 17. So we have to keep in mind that in order to win with a Western push, we need to be able to get one of those two centers (Probably Spain). Alternatively, you'd have to find a way to push down into the Austrian centers some.

Feel free to fire away with your questions, I think its good to start thinking about the opening press now. If we can be the first one to send press to everyone, I think that gives us some advantages. First, it will tell us who is responding quickly without consulting their coach extensively, and who isn't. Second, it might get us some responses that tell us a bit more about the player themself, because they may not have had time to really synch with their coach. Third, its always good to start talking early, it gets people thinking about you and your proposals, rather than talking about other things that might not be as beneficial to you.

Yah, I'll try to avoid that problem also. =) The important thing is to always check the message you get back from the Judge. Make sure your message went through, make sure you sent it to the right people, make sure your orders are all what you wanted. Those kind of mistakes can really hurt you if you don't notice them quickly.
